Adriatica

Challenge

Adriatica is an expert when it comes to producing high quality boat covers and upholstery. Operating in such a narrow area of expertise means that Adriatica is aimed at a very specific group of clients. Bearing that and many other aspects in mind, we were more than happy to be responsible for creating Adriatica’s new visual identity.

We developed a restored and rethought visual identity, which turned out to be more gentle and stylish. We designed Adriatica’s new website and their online store for yacht freaks, which are much more compelling and eye-catching that the previous ones the company used. Unarguably, the most notable thing in our cooperation with Adriatica is our joint work on constructing a module, in which clients can design their own, customized armchair.

This extraordinary project was yet another excellent opportunity to learn that great design is needed and can be introduced even to the narrowest areas of business, such as yachting.

Signet construction is based on regular scaling of the basic elements of the sign – the inner light is one-third of the value of the arms of the letter A and the width of the sheris.

Core values of Adriatica brand

  • Color palette

    The basic color set is navy blue with light blue and warm gray. The accent that can be used in the details is the light desaturated pink color. Single colors from this palette can be combined with white.

  • Pattern

    Pattern consists of a multiplied logo in the version with an extended upper beam. The basic elements make repetitive structure. The suggested size of one module is 100mm, however pattern scaling is not excluded.

  • Bona Nova

    Bona Nova is a project by Mateusz Machalski which is a digitalization of the Bona typeface, designed in 1971 by the designer of Polish banknotes, Andrzej Heidrich.

  • Exclusion zone

    Exclusion zone is a space where other objects and text can not be found. Basic area determines the minimum distance of the logo from the edge of the format.

  • Construction

    Signet construction is based on regular scaling of the basic elements of the sign – the inner light is one-third of the value of the arms of the letter A and the width of the sheris.

  • Stationery

    Part of the identication are shapes referring to the shape of the logo. Polygraphy is the eld for the exposition of this idea. The project consists implementation of folder, envelopes, business cards and letterhead.
